Soon........e-Proc - Aggregated Procurement Project
A new
and exciting development which
Redthorn and Valueworks
will be offering to its existing and new customers.
This new development will be an addition to the Redthorn
suite of software modules as an on-line aggregated
purchasing platform assisting
Redthorn
customers to significantly reduce their supply chain
costs.
When
using the
Redthorn
system to place a material enquiry for raw materials,
this new feature will present you with the option to
either purchase from your usual suppliers, or to
purchase the materials from the
e-Proc
catalogue at discounted prices.
How can we achieve this?
Redthorn
have in excess of 500 engineering companies purchasing
steels, alloys, tooling and consumables. This adds up to
purchasing power in excess of £200 million per annum.
Simply by aggregating together the material spend of our
users through
e-Proc
the development group will negotiate greater discounts
than any one individual company.
We
believe that the addition of this type of procurement
service will provide significant financial benefits for
our customers and will also help to keep the
Redthorn
products at the forefront of the ERP software market.

partner in this project is
Valueworks Ltd.
It has just been announced that
Valueworks
has won the North West regional final of the National
Business Awards 2007 -AXA Small to Medium Size Business
of the Year category.
Valueworks
utilise
e-Proc
in the construction procurement environment and have in
excess of £70m per annum of transactions going through
the system. This figure is expected to double over the
next 12 months as a result of having in excess of £1
billion of client planned procurement expenditure under
their management.
The
e-Proc
system is already used by over 230 organisations and
this figure is also expected to double over the next 12
months. Hence the system has not only been extensively
tested but has also been financially audited and
approved by several large public sector organisations.
As
well as the provision of
e-Proc,
Valueworks
will
apply its category management expertise in sourcing a
customised catalogue of products for
Redthorn’s
customers, allowing significant product cost savings in
the same way it was able to do so in the construction
sector, where savings of up to 30% have been achieved
for clients. The product costs are obviously the reason
the system is so well used. .
The
decision by
Redthorn
to form a partnership with
Valueworks
will enable the Company to be able to link their
innovative technology with the Company’s current
software products and hence enable its customers to
obtain significant commercial cost benefits. We are
currently working on developing the
Aventa
software so that it is able to integrate with
e-Proc.
It is expected the pilot will be operational in November
2007.
